Dear Prof. Manougian:

	This is to confirm my telephone remarks about Richard Stark.
I have had several conversations with him, listened to one lecture,
and have read his paper proving completeness and decideability of
a formalism for expressing facts about knowledge that I developed.
In all these contacts, I was favorably impressed with his mathematical
ability, motivation, and ability to express himself.  I have no doubt
that he will do well as a university mathematician and will continue
to do significant research.
